Senior Landscape/Horticulture Technician
Supervise his/her landscape maintenance team and ensure their work is very efficient, of the highest quality, and consistent with the client's needs.

Required Education / Experience
-
Minimum of three years in the landscaping industry
-
Minimum of one season in a leadership role of a landscape maintenance crew

Full knowledge of landscaping tools/equipment, materials, and techniques
-
Physically able to perform all tasks required for landscaping and landscape maintenance
-
Good writing and oral skills
-
IPM certified
-
Ability to lift and work in diverse weather conditions
-
Must be available to work at least 4-5 days per week (7:30 am to 5 pm – some days shorter/longer based on weather conditions) including some Saturdays during peak time

Must possess a valid G level driver's license and be comfortable driving in pick-up truck with trailer attachment

Landscape/Horticulture Technician
Job Summary: Performs manual duties to maintain well cared for and attractive landscaped areas for residential and commercial properties.
Reports To: Senior Technician
Main Accountabilities:
-
Spread topsoil; lay sod; plant flowers, grass, shrubs and trees; and perform other duties to assist in the maintenance and construction of landscapes;
-
Cut grass, rake, fertilize and water lawns; fall and spring clean-up weed gardens, prune shrubs and trees; and perform other maintenance duties as directed by senior representative;
-
Follow all health & safety regulations including wearing appropriate protective equipment and following Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
-
Clean working areas and maintain tools and equipment.
Tools & Equipment:
-
Packers, chain saws, hedge shears, sod cutters, pruning saws, cut-off saws, chainsaws, mowing equipment, string & bush trimmers, power blowers, turf rollers, rototillers, etc.
